Magic
Organa

The New Magic Organa is designed after
the famous Hohner Magic Organa accordion. It uses the same
reeds and is played by a new modern midi player. The Hohner
Magic Organa was made in the 1910’s and was played with
a foot pump for vacuum to make the roll play. Often times
a tube was run up the pant leg and through the shirt sleeve
to give the appearance that it was being hand played. The
bellows are then moved to get the terrific sounds. The new
Magic Organa is made in Germany.
Today the New Magic Organa is very
easy to operate. Just turn it on, wait a few seconds for the
midi to boot up and it is ready to play any of the 480 plus
tunes. It has 40 reeds and bass accompaniment if hooked up
to a keyboard or amp using the right equipment. Most keyboards
work if you use a midi cable. There is a speed control so
the speed can be changed anytime you wish.
The latest feature of the new Magic
Organa is the send and receive built into the accordion. One
accordion can be playing the music and all other new Magic
Organas can play along remotely. This makes for a very exciting
sound. The accordion uses a smart card like a digital camera
so your own music can be added. We have recorded the original
Hohner Magic Organa rolls which can now be played on the New
Magic Organa.

In the picture above we have a German
lady playing by ear with the two Magic Organas. We had a great
time that day performing for the many people that came by
to hear us.
The new Magic Organa can not be played
by hand. The internal midi system is used that comes with
the accordion. Only 3 buttons are used on the accordion to
control the songs, speed, start and stop. Since the weight
is only 22 lb.’s, it is very easy to use. The cost is
a question mark right now with the exchange rate. At times
there might be a demo available for a little less. All of
the songs and instructions are included. The cases are either
inlay or painted. The waiting time for an accordion now is
4 months.
